No Power.

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS:

The Power cord may be disconnected so make sure that the Set Top is plugged into a live electrical outlet.

No Sound.

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS:

The Mute button may have been pressed on the remote so press the Mute button to restore the sound and volume.  Also check the audio cables as they may need to be connected or replaced.

No Picture.

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS:

Check all cables. If your TV is hooked up to coax cables, the TV may be on the wrong channel so try going to Channel 3 or 4.

No Picture or Sound.

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS:

The signal may not be reaching your TV so make sure all the cables are connected properly on the back of your Set Top and your TV. Also make sure your Set Top is turned on and displays a green light.

The TV may not be on the right channel to display input so using the Remote Control for the TV OR if your TV has been programmed into the Set Top Remote Control, using the Remote Control for the Set Top, make sure the TV is on the correct channel.

After trying solutions 1 & 2 and still no picture, you will need to Reboot your system.

Picture is distorted.

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS:

The TV cable may be disconnected or loose so make sure the cable is tightened or reconnected.

VCR will not record.

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS:

The signal may not be reaching your TV so make sure all the cables are connected properly on the back of your VCR and your TV.

The TV may not be on the right channel to display input so make sure the TV is on the correct channel.

Also make sure you are using the correct remote.

Can't adjust the recorded program that I am watching.

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS:

You will need to use the VCR/DVD/PVR Controls on your Set Top remote. To stop the program, press the Stop button instead of the Exit button.

TV says "No Signal" and it's on the right channel.

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS:

Most likely, the TV is on the wrong input. To correct this, do the following:

With the TV and the Set Top on, hit the TV button on your remote then the Input button on your remote. Keep pushing the input button on your remote until it goes through all the options or until your picture comes back on.

If the Input button does not do anything, you can change the input or source button on your TV by physically changing the channel using the up or down button on your TV.

My TV is on, but the Set Top is turned off.

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS:

Your remote can be programmed to power off the television and the Set Top at the same time. However, they do become out of sync so press the ok button on the remote to turn the power to the Set Top back on.

Parental Controls are not working.

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS:

First, you will need to activate Parental Controls by pressing the Menu button. You need to make sure there is a checkmark next to Parental Controls in the Settings option. Also make sure that the Movie & TV Ratings are listed to your desired content.

The CC button on my remote doesn't work.

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS:

The CC button on the remote does not control Closed Captioning so press the # button on your remote to turn CC on/off. Closed captioning can also be controlled in the Menu.

Restart TV doesn't work.

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS:

Restart TV doesn’t work on every channel so it will only work if you see a green circle clock on the guide.

When I'm in the Guide and pick a channel, I can't use my OK button to get out of the Guide.

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS:

Press the Exit button and go into the Guide to change the settings in there.

Why doesn't my non-DVR Set Top show my DVR Recordings?

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS:

You will need to make sure you are signed up for Whole-Home Cloud DVR, but if you are, unplug your DVR Set Top and plug it back in to reboot the system.

Why do I get the message "Video Channel is blocked" when I try to order a PPV movie?

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS:

Check your Parental Control settings to determine if the settings are blocking the movie. Also check your Channel Blocking settings to determine if the channels are blocked.

Some PPV movies won’t let you order the show once it has begun, so the movie may already be playing.

Can I restart live TV with my Big Button Remote since I do not have a green button?

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS:

This function doesn’t work with the Big Button remote so you will have to swap it for a different one.

What is the RES button on the front of my box for?

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS:

It allows you to quickly adjust the resolution settings on your Set Top.

Pausing Live TV doesn't work on all of my TVs.

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS:

If the Set Top is a 3800, you will need to change out the box in order to be able to rewind or pause live TV.

LED light on the remote blinks, but the component doesn't respond.

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS:

Try replacing the batteries. You will need two AAs. The component may not be programmed into your remote or the component may not be selected so press the component button of the device you’re trying to control.

Can't get the Menu, Guide or Info button to work.

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS:

Press the STB button located in the upper right hand corner of your remote and make sure that it lights up when pushed.
